3.0 Warrior Guide by Evi Sama and Quarion Govinda

INTRO

Hello all, we would like to introduce ourselves before we start with this guide.
We are 2 Italians player which played together since patch 2.1ish came out, at first Evi was PLD and Quarion was SMN, our journey thru Eorzea raids brought us to the way of the Warrior since both of us enjoyed it, we then decided to make our personal guide, this also because all the misconceptions about WAR tanking annoyed us a lot lately (That DPS only bandwagon).

IMPORTANT PREMISE:
We will be talking and writing in this guide saying “I” instead of “We” just to make things simpler and better sounding when you read it, but this guide is made by us BOTH in all the parts and contents.

Racial Stats are not really relevant when playing a certain Job in Final Fantasy XIV, we will be covering just the 2 “best” options you can get, but feel really free to play the race u enjoy more, at the end of the day it wont be even noticable.

1# Roegadyn Sea Wolves:
STR 22 / DEX 18 / VIT 23 / INT 17 / MND 21 / PIE 19

2# Hyur Highlander:
STR 23 / DEX 20 / VIT 22 / INT 20 / MND 17 / PIE 19

3# Au’Ra Xaela
STR 23 / DEX 20 / VIT 21 / INT 18 / MND 20 / PIE 17

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

1 - Accuracy:
Accuracy is the stat that makes your attacks hit or miss, so basically you must think about your Accuracy before ANYTHING, missing attacks is the last thing you want to happen, for obvious reasons, so aim to get the Accuracy cap for the Encounter you’re going to go in, and after that all the extra Accuracy you put is wasted stat.

This is the ACC cap (Front no http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance) for the actual end game Content:

A9-A12 Savage 700

2 - Vitality:
Increases your HP and your Attack Power. This is your main stat.

3 - Strenght:
Each point of STR increases your Attack Power the same as 1 VIT point, but it doesn’t give you any HP of course.

Secondary stats:

4 - Skillspeed:
Skillspeed decreases your global cooldown making you skill faster, it also increases the amount of damage done per DOT tick.
This said, you need around 450 skillspeed to fit 9 attacks in one http://xivdb.com/action/38/Berserk window, this is VERY IMPORTANT in order to achieve correct openers and the triple http://xivdb.com/action/3549/Fell-Cleave combo.
I said “around” because it depends on your latency, this means you may need more, or less skillspeed depending on your connection/distance from the game server.

5 - Crit Hit Rate:
Increases your crit chance percentage while also increasing the crit damage multiplier.
Critting does not only means more DPS, it also means more self healing while in http://xivdb.com/action/34/Bloodbath or using http://xivdb.com/action/49/Inner-Beast and http://xivdb.com/action/42/Storm%27s-Path, as well as increasing the chances to crit an http://xivdb.com/action/3552/Equilibrium.

6 - Determination:
Increases the amount of damage your weaponskills do, also increasing auto attack damage.

7 - Parry:
Increases the chance of parrying a PHYSICAL attack.
You probably have heard this many times, “should I use parry on Tank?”.
I stand behind my original statement:
Parry is pretty useless because of many reasons, Parry only works on physical attacks and for how this game works, you should mitigate with CDs, DO NOT rely on parry to survive a tank buster, if you do this you really should think about reading this guide, well you're already doing it.
Parry also does nothing for all the time you are not tanking, so it will be wasted stats.
Parry is the LAST action triggering when an enemy hits you: the game will first check for a dodge, then for a critical hit, and then at the end, for a parry, and it really almost never gets to that step.
Basically: till they do not change how this stat works, just AVOID IT.

STAT WEIGHTS
What is a stat weight?

Stat weights are used to show a secondary stat’s value compared to the main stat
Let’s get this straight:
(following stat weights are kindly calculated by iDervy, and used on Ariyala)

STR: 1.000
VIT: 1.000
WD: 22.030

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

http://xivdb.com/action/31/Heavy-Swing

First Weaponskill and part of all the combos. Not too much to discuss.

http://xivdb.com/action/32/Foresight

Increases the Physical Defense by 20%, which is around 18% physical damage taken mitigation, at ilevel 240. I suggest to use it always when available, due to the short cooldown (90s) and the long duration.

http://xivdb.com/action/35/Skull-Sunder

Second Weaponskill of the enmity combo, necessary to make aggro.

http://xivdb.com/action/33/Fracture

DoT of 300 potency overall (100 Slashing and Physical damage, 200 Physical damage). It has a very good potency,
I’m gonna make a paragraph for it, cause it will take a bit to explain it properly. ( check rotation section to further details about http://xivdb.com/action/33/Fracture)

http://xivdb.com/action/34/Bloodbath

Absorb 25% of Physical Damage dealt for 30s. Since WAR does a really high DPS, this ability, especially when used with http://xivdb.com/action/38/Berserk and http://xivdb.com/action/44/Vengeance, it’s really usefull and helps a lot while tanking in DPS stance.

http://xivdb.com/action/39/Brutal-Swing

This is basically WAR’s stun ability. It has a short cooldown and a good potency, as other stun abilities, if you don’t need to stun in the fight, just use it on cooldown to increase your DPS

http://xivdb.com/action/41/Overpower

Frontal AoE enmity Weaponskill, good AoE damage.

http://xivdb.com/action/46/Tomahawk

Classic ranged (15yalm) Weaponskill, makes enmity, good for pulls.

http://xivdb.com/action/37/Maim

Second Weaponskill for 2 combos. Increases damage dealt by 20% for 20s. It has to be used at least every 2 combos.

http://xivdb.com/action/38/Berserk

Increases damage dealt by 50% for 20s, follows 5s http://xivdb.com/status/6/Pacification. 90s Cooldown. It basically must be used always when it’s up, and there is a right way to use it. It also depends by the fight, sometimes it could be better to hold it. It grants a stack of http://xivdb.com/status/93/Wrath while in http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance, and a stack of http://xivdb.com/status/730/Abandon while in http://xivdb.com/action/3548/Deliverance.

http://xivdb.com/action/36/Mercy-Stroke

Finisher (can be used only on targets below 20% HP) of 200 potency. If delivered as killing blow, it will restore 20% of your maximum HP, so if it’s a low HP add, try to kill it with http://xivdb.com/action/36/Mercy-Stroke, if it’s a boss, just use it on cooldown.

http://xivdb.com/action/47/Butcher%27s-Block

Third and last enmity combo Weaponskill. It’s the highest potency weaponskill in combo, it must be used to gain enmity, or to maximise the DPS when possible.

http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance

This is our defensive stance, it increases maximum HP by 25%, and magical healing received by 20%, while lowering damage dealt by 25%. It also increases enmity generated, and chances to hit (accuracy) by 5% When using http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance, certain weaponskills will grant a stack of http://xivdb.com/status/93/Wrath, each stack increase parry rate by 2%. With 5 stacks you’ll become http://xivdb.com/status/97/Infuriated

http://xivdb.com/action/40/Thrill-of-Battle

Increases maximum HP by 20%, and heals the amount of HP increased. This is a really good CD, and to maximise it’s efficiency, it sometimes has to be used together with http://xivdb.com/action/12/Convalescence. This is basically gonna give the same buff as http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance does, without lowering your damage dealt.

http://xivdb.com/action/49/Inner-Beast

It can be used while http://xivdb.com/status/97/Infuriated, and consume all http://xivdb.com/status/93/Wrath stacks. , weaponskill of 300 potency damage, grants a 6 seconds 20% damage reduction (http://xivdb.com/status/411/Inner-Beast) and heals for 100% the damage dealt. http://xivdb.com/action/49/Inner-Beast isn’t affected by http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance’s 25% damage reduction.

http://xivdb.com/action/42/Storm%27s-Path

Delivers an attack of 250 potency in combo after http://xivdb.com/action/37/Maim. Lowers target’s damage dealt by 10% for 20 seconds, and Heals by 50% of the damage dealt.

http://xivdb.com/action/50/Unchained

It can be used while http://xivdb.com/status/97/Infuriated, and consume all http://xivdb.com/status/93/Wrath stacks. Nullifies the damage reduction of http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance for 20 seconds. It’s a really usefull ability, which let the WAR keep high DPS while tanking in Tank Stance. With a good handling of defensive CDs, and good healers of course, you can actually use http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance only when http://xivdb.com/action/50/Unchained is up, granting always have an extremely high DPS.
Since http://xivdb.com/action/49/Inner-Beast and http://xivdb.com/action/51/Steel-Cyclone aren’t affected by http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance’s 25% damage reduction, and therefore don’t get any use of http://xivdb.com/action/50/Unchained, you want to try to use those Weaponskill without this buff, to optimize its utility.

http://xivdb.com/action/43/Holmgang

It binds the target and the caster, and for his duration (6 seconds), the WAR can’t go lower than 1HP. Most of the people just think that http://xivdb.com/action/43/Holmgang, is the emergency “saveass” ability, while it really better to use it as a Defensive CD, since it has just 3 minutes of recast, and thanks to WAR selfheal capabilities, it doesn’t even require a http://xivdb.com/action/140/Benediction or too much heavy healing by the healers.

http://xivdb.com/action/51/Steel-Cyclone

It can be used while http://xivdb.com/status/97/Infuriated, and consume all http://xivdb.com/status/93/Wrath stacks. Deals 200 potency damage to all enemies around the caster, and increases enmity, while in http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance it’s the best AoE for both enmity gain and DPS. http://xivdb.com/action/51/Steel-Cyclone isn’t affected by http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance’s 25% damage reduction.

http://xivdb.com/action/44/Vengeance

It grants a stack of http://xivdb.com/status/93/Wrath when in http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance, and a stack of http://xivdb.com/status/730/Abandon while in http://xivdb.com/action/3548/Deliverance. Reduces damage taken by 30%, while dealing a 50 potency physical attack for any physical attack received to the attacker. This is a great defensive CD, the best one for warriors, as it also deals damage, good to use it together with http://xivdb.com/action/38/Berserk and http://xivdb.com/action/34/Bloodbath.

http://xivdb.com/action/52/Infuriate

It istantly grants the effect of http://xivdb.com/status/97/Infuriated when in http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance, or the effect of http://xivdb.com/status/734/Uncontrollable when in http://xivdb.com/action/3548/Deliverance.

http://xivdb.com/action/45/Storm%27s-Eye

Delivers an attack of 270 potency. Decreases target’s slashing resistence by 10% and it’s HP recovering by magic healing by 20%.
It has to be ALWAYS up on your enemy, as it increase not only your DPS, but also the other tank and the Ninja’s DPS.

http://xivdb.com/action/3548/Deliverance

Increases damage dealt by 5%. It grants a stack of http://xivdb.com/status/730/Abandon while using certain weaponskills, Each stack increasis the Critical Hit Rate by 2%. With 5 stacks you’ill become http://xivdb.com/status/734/Uncontrollable. This is the DPS stance, it has to be up all the time while off tanking, and whenever you’re not using http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance.

http://xivdb.com/action/3549/Fell-Cleave

Can only be used while http://xivdb.com/status/734/Uncontrollable, and consumes all http://xivdb.com/status/730/Abandon stacks, Delivers an attack of 500 potency. This is by far our strongest single target weaponskill, It has to be used everytime we are under the effect of http://xivdb.com/status/734/Uncontrollable, without wasting an http://xivdb.com/status/730/Abandon stack ever.

http://xivdb.com/action/3551/Raw-Intuition

It grants a stack of http://xivdb.com/status/93/Wrath when in http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance, and a stack of http://xivdb.com/status/730/Abandon while in http://xivdb.com/action/3548/Deliverance. Grants parry all the (Physical) attacks incoming from the front, while all attacks received by the rear and the flank will result in critical damage. This is a great Physical cooldown, in the case we are tankng many enemies, so they are pushing eachother towards us, or either we have to move for some reason, it’s better to use it with http://xivdb.com/action/13/Awareness since few critical hits can be fatal.

http://xivdb.com/action/3552/Equilibrium

Under the effect of http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance, heals the caster with a potency of 1200 (Based on attack power).
Under the effect of http://xivdb.com/action/3548/Deliverance restores 200TP.
This ability is just amazing, with its 60 seconds recast, it restores the same TP as http://xivdb.com/action/80/Invigorate does (half amount in half the time) while when tanking it’s an extremely high potency heal, expecially when used with http://xivdb.com/action/38/Berserk, since it’s Attack Power based.

NOTE: This Ability is really good to make aggro aswell, if your combo isn't ready and you have to make quick aggro, http://xivdb.com/action/18/Provoke http://xivdb.com/action/3552/Equilibrium is pretty good for it.

http://xivdb.com/action/3550/Decimate

Can only be used while http://xivdb.com/status/734/Uncontrollable, and consumes all http://xivdb.com/status/730/Abandon stacks, Delivers an attack of 280 potency to all enemies around you. This is by far our strongest AoE weaponskill, It has to be used everytime we are under the effect of http://xivdb.com/status/734/Uncontrollable, and we have 2 or more targets, without wasting an http://xivdb.com/status/730/Abandon stack ever.

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

There’s more than one combination of cross skills people use when playing Warrior, this is the one I use at the moment, and the one I think works better for the actual end game content:

1 - http://xivdb.com/action/18/Provoke:
Provoke puts you 1 “hate point” higher then the first in enmity list, this means it MUST be used with an high hate skill following.
Must have for raiding where you find yourself doing a Tank swap.
Also nice as an “oshit” move when someone pulling hate off you.
What I suggest is to use this after 1st or 2nd skill of your combo threat, this to maximize the hate you build.

2 - http://xivdb.com/action/12/Convalescence
Convalescence Increases the amount of HP recovered from healing magic by 20% for 20 seconds.
2 minutes cooldown.
This is in my opinion a must have for any Warrior, helps a lot when tanking in http://xivdb.com/action/3548/Deliverance, since it “simulates” the healing magic taken buff while in http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance.

3 - http://xivdb.com/action/59/Internal-Release
Increases your Critical Hit chance by 10% for 15 seconds.
60 seconds cooldown.
Another must have, this ability does not just increase your DPS, this can be very helpful to maximize yor self healing when using http://xivdb.com/action/34/Bloodbath/http://xivdb.com/action/49/Inner-Beast /http://xivdb.com/action/42/Storm%27s-Path and http://xivdb.com/action/3552/Equilibrium.

These 3 are the MUST HAVE cross skills, that none should argue on, and if he does, hes a bad Warrior.
The other two I can say are pretty much situationals, and the choice is between:

http://xivdb.com/action/14/Flash

Flash is an enmity generation AOE (around character) skills, uses MP.
This is awesome when you get pacified, expecially in dungeons or multytarget raid like A2 Savage.
Flash also does not need a target to be casted so is way easyer then http://xivdb.com/action/41/Overpower when you have multytarget sorrounding you and its hard to get them all to an http://xivdb.com/action/41/Overpower, you must keep in mind that this is a DPS loss.

http://xivdb.com/action/13/Awareness

Awareness nullifies the chance of suffering critical damage for 15 seconds.
2 minutes cooldown.
This is really good paired with http://xivdb.com/action/3551/Raw-Intuition when having multiple targets attacking you from sides.
An important reason because I prefer http://xivdb.com/action/13/Awareness is that Critical hits are over parry, so if you get a crit while using http://xivdb.com/action/3551/Raw-Intuition you will not parry that attack, so its better to have http://xivdb.com/action/13/Awareness for all the times we use http://xivdb.com/action/3551/Raw-Intuition

http://xivdb.com/action/65/Mantra

Increases the HP recovery via Healing Magic by 5% for yourself and the sorrounding party members for 15 seconds.
2 Minutes Cooldown.
This can be really usefull when progressing through the last turns early after a patch, where even a 5% healing increase can help the healers.

http://xivdb.com/action/57/Second-Wind

Instantly restores your HP for a cure potency of 450, potency varies with your attack power.
2 minutes cooldown.
Unfortunatly the 2 minutes CD is pretty long, but sometimes this ability can be really usefull, allowing you to heal yourself even in http://xivdb.com/action/3548/Deliverance, so this is a good option when http://xivdb.com/action/3552/Equilibrium is not available.

ALL THE REST IS NOT EVEN WORTH MENTIONING.

A Little post scrittum for elitist and perfectionists on OT openers, you may want to change this openers a little bit depending on when your party members use their abilities such as http://xivdb.com/action/2258/Trick-Attack and ,http://xivdb.com/action/3557/Battle-Litany and http://xivdb.com/action/2885/Hypercharge. The main thing is about fitting the 2 full empowered Fell Cleaves into them, and if possible http://xivdb.com/action/33/Fracture aswell.

Warrior does not have a standard rotation that you just follow like IKEA Istructions, WAR has some basic points and concept you have to fit and adapt to the specified fight.

- That http://xivdb.com/action/45/Storm%27s-Eye!-

The BASE of Warrior rotation is http://xivdb.com/action/45/Storm%27s-Eye, It HAS to be always up, if it goes down all the skill coming after will have a 10% DPS loss, and that’s A LOT.
So think as priority, what you should do is, keep http://xivdb.com/action/45/Storm%27s-Eye up, then go for Butcher’s Combo if no mitigation is needed and you dont need to keep http://xivdb.com/action/42/Storm%27s-Path up.
I tend to do http://xivdb.com/action/42/Storm%27s-Path as much as possible in end game raid since it helps the healers a lot and its a minimal DPS loss compared to the benefit the party will have from it, of course in a phase with no big damage or aoe damage you dont need to do it.
You can Butcher’s combo when OT’ing, just watch your hate, if you pulling out too much hate and you dont need to http://xivdb.com/action/42/Storm%27s-Path you can spam the http://xivdb.com/action/45/Storm%27s-Eye combo, since it has more potency than the Path’s one.
There are some VERY rare cases when yo will need to prioritize http://xivdb.com/action/42/Storm%27s-Path over http://xivdb.com/action/45/Storm%27s-Eye, for Example in situations where the boss just became targetable and you dont have time to put http://xivdb.com/action/45/Storm%27s-Eye and then http://xivdb.com/action/42/Storm%27s-Path before a strong Tankbuster o raidwipe AoE which has to be well mitigated.

-Never Waste a stack-

Pretty self explaining, when you got those 5 stacks USE EM, dont save em for your birthday, toss that http://xivdb.com/action/3549/Fell-Cleave, it breaks asses!
I see lot of people saving stacks because they have http://xivdb.com/action/38/Berserk soon, remember all the time you http://xivdb.com/action/37/Maim, http://xivdb.com/action/45/Storm%27s-Eye, http://xivdb.com/action/38/Berserk or w/e gives you a stack when you have 5 stacks, its all DPS loss, the only time you should save your stack is to http://xivdb.com/action/49/Inner-Beast mitigate an incoming Tank Buster, and you wont have time to recharge the 5 stacks needed to time your http://xivdb.com/action/49/Inner-Beast.

- The http://xivdb.com/action/33/Fracture misconception -

I’ll begin to talk about rotations, introducing my theory about http://xivdb.com/action/33/Fracture.
Please take note that this is not what will make you do great DPS, this is increasing the DPS just by 1.5% to 3%, and it’s just to refine the rotation when already doing a really high DPS.
As I said it is a DoT with an high potency, and everyone think that it should be always up 100% of the time on our enemy, and i disagree on this.
While in http://xivdb.com/action/3548/Deliverance, for every combo we do, we gain 2 stacks of http://xivdb.com/status/730/Abandon, and everytime we get to 5 stacks, we can use http://xivdb.com/action/3549/Fell-Cleave and start charging up the stacks again.
Using http://xivdb.com/action/33/Fracture, everytime we use it, we delay the next http://xivdb.com/action/3549/Fell-Cleave of 1 GCD, and it is supposed to happen every 30 Seconds. Well after a quick calculation based on the potency of the skills, assuming we are not using CDs, but we of course have http://xivdb.com/status/85/Maim and http://xivdb.com/action/45/Storm%27s-Eye up, i had this result:
http://xivdb.com/action/3549/Fell-Cleave has 500 potency.
http://xivdb.com/action/33/Fracture has 100 potency Slashing damage and 200 potency Physical damage (DoT) which so doesn’t get any buff from http://xivdb.com/action/45/Storm%27s-Eye.
I also made it without http://xivdb.com/action/35/Skull-Sunder and http://xivdb.com/action/47/Butcher%27s-Block, to make it easier for me, and more clear for everyone. (Note that using them, would change both the rotations the same way, so the calculation is still correct)
This is the potency in a 90 seconds rotation, where 150 is http://xivdb.com/action/31/Heavy-Swing, 190 is http://xivdb.com/action/37/Maim, and 270 is http://xivdb.com/action/45/Storm%27s-Eye, 100 (+200 after) is http://xivdb.com/action/33/Fracture, 500 is http://xivdb.com/action/3549/Fell-Cleave, 20% is http://xivdb.com/status/85/Maim and 10% http://xivdb.com/status/90/Storm%27s-Eye. All of this, assuming that the 1st hit comes at 0, and the last at 90.

(((100+150+190+270+150+190+270+150+190+500+270+150+190+270+100+150+190+270+150+500+190+270+150+190+270+150+190+500+100+270+150+190+270+150+190+270+150)+20%)+10%)+(200+200+200)+20% = 11346
And the following without using http://xivdb.com/action/33/Fracture:
((150+190+270+150+190+270+150+190+500+270+150+190+270+150+190+270+150+500+190+270+150+190+270+150+190+500+270+150+190+270+150+190+270+150+500+190+270)+20%)+10% = 11497.2
That clearly means we lose potency using http://xivdb.com/action/33/Fracture. So should we just remove it from our hotbar? Why did i put it im my openers? Simply because http://xivdb.com/action/33/Fracture still remains a usefull Weaponskill to increase our DPS, the question is, when to use it?
If http://xivdb.com/action/33/Fracture is reducing our potency because its delaying our http://xivdb.com/action/3549/Fell-Cleave.
I’ll try to make it the easier I can: Not using http://xivdb.com/action/33/Fracture, is a DPS gain, when you can use the next http://xivdb.com/action/3549/Fell-Cleave with the same condition, so everytime there is a buff, like http://xivdb.com/status/444/Vulnerability-Up, http://xivdb.com/status/86/Berserk, or anything else it’s increasing our damage for few time, we have to fit the maximum number of http://xivdb.com/action/3549/Fell-Cleave into this buff, and when we know we can’t fit another one, then that’s the time to use http://xivdb.com/action/33/Fracture. You can see that I’m indeed using it in my openers, and will see where to use it in rotation.

- The Triple http://xivdb.com/action/38/Berserk’d http://xivdb.com/action/3549/Fell-Cleave Combo -

This tecnique is used to pull out the more DPS possible during one http://xivdb.com/action/38/Berserk window by fitting in 3 of the highest potency Weaponskills you got: http://xivdb.com/action/3549/Fell-Cleave.
In order to achieve this you need around 450 skillspeed (as said, depending on your latency)

The actual combo:
When you have 4 or 5 abandon stacks, http://xivdb.com/action/38/Berserk, http://xivdb.com/action/52/Infuriate, http://xivdb.com/action/59/Internal-Release and one of http://xivdb.com/action/44/Vengeance or http://xivdb.com/action/3551/Raw-Intuition. ( a good plus would be potion)
Starting from 4 or 5 stacks:

http://xivdb.com/action/45/Storm%27s-Eye
http://xivdb.com/action/31/Heavy-Swing
http://xivdb.com/action/3549/Fell-Cleave
http://xivdb.com/action/3549/Fell-Cleave
(http://xivdb.com/action/44/Vengeance or http://xivdb.com/action/3551/Raw-Intuition)
http://xivdb.com/action/35/Skull-Sunder
http://xivdb.com/action/47/Butcher%27s-Block
http://xivdb.com/action/33/Fracture
http://xivdb.com/action/31/Heavy-Swing
http://xivdb.com/action/37/Maim
http://xivdb.com/action/45/Storm%27s-Eye
http://xivdb.com/action/3549/Fell-Cleave
http://xivdb.com/status/6/Pacification

Dont forget you are a tank, so choose http://xivdb.com/action/44/Vengeance or http://xivdb.com/action/3551/Raw-Intuition based on the situation, dont just toss one without thinking.
Using http://xivdb.com/action/34/Bloodbath in this combo is very effective, the amount of self heal will be AMAZING.

What about http://xivdb.com/action/59/Internal-Release and http://xivdb.com/action/52/Infuriate? Should I use them outside of http://xivdb.com/action/38/Berserk windows ever?
Well, this, as everything else when it comes to rotation, is situational. Assume you almost always want to triple http://xivdb.com/action/3549/Fell-Cleave during http://xivdb.com/action/38/Berserk, so you will most likely keep these CDs to use together, but can happen in some fights (particularly A3S, A11S) that when http://xivdb.com/action/38/Berserk cooldown ends and it's back to be used again, you can't actually use it, due to boss untargetable, or weird mechanics. When it happens, and you know you will have to hold your http://xivdb.com/action/38/Berserk for 20 to 30 sec, you know you can use http://xivdb.com/action/59/Internal-Release and http://xivdb.com/action/52/Infuriate to double http://xivdb.com/action/3549/Fell-Cleave, hopefully in a http://xivdb.com/action/2258/Trick+Attack since it comes around 1 minute after your opener, so the CDs SHOULD often line up, depending on the fight, strats, and players.

Warrior AoE Damage was really great already before 3.0 spamming http://xivdb.com/action/41/Overpower, but now with the introducion of http://xivdb.com/action/3552/Equilibrium and http://xivdb.com/action/3550/Decimate, the TP Managment is way easyer since http://xivdb.com/action/3550/Decimate allows you to use Abandon stacks instead of TP saving you a global cooldown and letting your TP breath by dealing 280 (Yeah Twohundredeighty) potency damage to all enemies sorrounding you.
Coming to the actual rotation what you have to do is pretty simple:
Keep up your http://xivdb.com/action/37/Maim then go to http://xivdb.com/action/41/Overpower City, when you see your tp at 800 use http://xivdb.com/action/3552/Equilibrium then when your TP goes down even lower start charging some stacks with the http://xivdb.com/action/45/Storm%27s-Eye combo and http://xivdb.com/action/3550/Decimate, also remember to http://xivdb.com/action/3550/Decimate everytime your http://xivdb.com/action/52/Infuriate is up.
When http://xivdb.com/action/38/Berserk is almost ready what u want to do is waiting for 4 or 5 stacks (depending on whats ur combo at) then http://xivdb.com/action/38/Berserk and http://xivdb.com/action/59/Internal-Release, use ur 1st http://xivdb.com/action/3550/Decimate and http://xivdb.com/action/52/Infuriate right after, now spam the more http://xivdb.com/action/41/Overpower possible and before http://xivdb.com/action/59/Internal-Release goes down use ur second http://xivdb.com/action/3550/Decimate then go back to http://xivdb.com/action/41/Overpower until http://xivdb.com/action/38/Berserk is down.

OFC adapt this to fights and situations…

What do i mean with “Stance dancing”? Being able to switch between http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance and http://xivdb.com/action/3548/Deliverance while Tanking, without making it a pain for the healers to heal you.
So yes, all the people which are saying “Hey! Tank stance!”, are probably not used to play with proper tanks, since tanking in DPS stance is doable, and also required to defeat savage turns while undergeared. It requires good healers, and good tank skills, a perfect knowledge of the defensive cooldowns and so being able to mitigate attacks to compensate the lower HP recovery and less HP due to missing http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance. Don’t forget to use http://xivdb.com/action/50/Unchained! While tanking in DPS stance, instead of using a cooldown, it can be a good idea, depending by the fight and the situation, to just switch in
http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance after you charged the stacks, and than use http://xivdb.com/action/50/Unchained. It can also allow you to charge the stacks again, and use http://xivdb.com/action/49/Inner-Beast before going back to http://xivdb.com/action/3548/Deliverance, to grant 6 more seconds of 20% less damage taken while in DPS stance, without losing much DPS. It is a small DPS loss, but it’s a gain for the party, cause allows the healers to do something else than spamming heals on you.

I personally don’t use any macro in fight, beside one to switch between stances while switching http://xivdb.com/action/49/Inner-Beast and http://xivdb.com/action/51/Steel-Cyclone with http://xivdb.com/action/3549/Fell-Cleave and http://xivdb.com/action/3550/Decimate, and vice versa. All Weaponskill macroed will just make you lose DPS because Macros don't queue, and so you must use them when the GCD is ended.
However, there are some you could use to improve communication with the party members, and I'm gonna enlist them here:

http://xivdb.com/action/3548/Deliverance macro
/micon "Deliverance"
/ac "Deliverance" <me>
/hotbar Action "Fell Cleave" 1 4
/hotbar Action "Decimate" 1 5

http://xivdb.com/action/48/Defiance macro
/micon "Defiance"
/ac "Defiance" <me>
/hotbar Action "Inner Beast" 1 4
/hotbar Action "Steel Cyclone" 1 5

In these macros, in the lines - "/hotbar Action "[action name]" 1 5" - The "1" stands for Hotbar number, and the "5" stands for the position in that hotbar. You can check these info in the Macro menu ingame.

Pull Macro, it is 15 secs to allow all kind of buffs, Shadow Flare precast etc.

PULL MACRO:
/p Pulling in 15 <se.8> <wait.1>
/p 14 <wait.1>
/p 13 <wait.1>
/p 12 <wait.1>
/p 11 <wait.1>
/p 10 <wait.1>
/p 9 <wait.1>
/p 8 <wait.1>
/p 7 <wait.1>
/p 6 <wait.1>
/p 5 <se.5> <wait.1>
/p 4 <se.5> <wait.1>
/p 3 <se.5> <wait.1>
/p 2 <se.5> <wait.1>
/p 1 <se.3> <wait.1>

Berserk Macro, to call the dispel. (If the healers DPS, it's not worth it at all to get cleanse the pacification, but still good for BRDs) , here the macro:

/p Berserk Used! Pacification in 20 Sec. <se.8> <wait.17>
/p Pacification in 3s <se.8> <wait.1>
/p Pacification in 2s <se.8> <wait.1>
/p Pacification in 1s <se.1>
